“Crown of Thorns” Galaxy Photographed in space

Psalm 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

Genesis 22:13 And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.

John 19: 2 And the soldiers platted a crown of thorns, and put it on his head, and they put on him a purple robe, 3 And said, Hail, King of the Jews! and they smote him with their hands. 4 Pilate therefore went forth again, and saith unto them, Behold, I bring him forth to you, that ye may know that I find no fault in him. 5 Then came Jesus forth, wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. And Pilate saith unto them, Behold the man! 6 When the chief priests therefore and officers saw him, they cried out, saying, Crucify him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Take ye him, and crucify him: for I find no fault in him.

  1. What an amazing Photo! It reminded me of this scripture from Paul:

“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they (humanity) are without excuse.”
    (Romans 1: 18-20)

GOOD FRIDAY IS TOMORROW AND YET GOD REMINDS US IN THIS PHOTO THAT HE IS IN CONTROL AND HE LOVES US SO MUCH THAT HE SENT HIS ONLY SON WHO BORE OUR PAIN AND SUFFERINGS!! Luke 21:11 (New American Standard Bible) and there will be great earthquakes, and in various places plagues and famines; and there will be terrors and great signs from heaven.

God is imaginary. This picture is not evidence in any way, shape or form… of any thing… other than a galaxy far, far away. It is not a sign. It doesn’t mean Jesus is God. It doesn’t refer to him or anyone else. It does not even look like a crown of thorns, in fact. A spinning tire, perhaps? A tree ring? …maybe.

What we KNOW is that it is a picture from outer space. What we DON’T KNOW is that it is a sign from the bible god. Spare me, Christians. PLEASE.

What Abraham was spared of doing, God did—sacrificing His only Son. Abraham found a ram caught in the thorn bushes to serve as the substitute sacrifice for Issac, his only son, who was carrying his own wood to the sacrifice. Jesus, as the Ultimate Ram, the True Issac, also wore thorns on His head, and carried his own wood (the cross) to the sacrifice. “Abraham said, ‘God will provide for Himself the lamb for the burnt offering”.

  5. I once railed against God and His people much in the same way, or even worse, than Jeff does now. I would find, after many years of wandering in humanistic dismay and anguish, that God does exist, and this less chosen road has made all the difference in my life.

We see evidence of God in this photo, while Jeff evidently only sees darkness (man’s wisdom, technology and knowledge) with a galaxy in the middle. Why is Jeff so hostile? He’s hostile because he can’t understand why our belief in God troubles him so!

Jeff, it could be that you’re troubled because there’s a call on your life. On the other hand, you could be troubled because there is not! Only you and God will know for sure.

See if the following scripture means anything to you, Jeff?

“And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” (2 Corinthians 4: 3-14)

The God who created the universe states about himself in the Bible “I Am and I will do what I will do” The universe is for His glory and I can only praise Him in humility
